Went for a run this morning. Got out the door at 6:45 a.m., a little later than I would have liked, but the heat wasn't that oppressive yet. Better to get a little more sleep and run when it is 5 degree warmer. In addition, I need to acclimate to the heat eventually. My first race since March is next week...
That bootcamp pic reminds me of the scene in the beginning of Bridesmaids when the two main characters are doing bootcamp for free by watching the group from far away. Ha ha.
Yes, that boot camp scene in "Bridesmaids" is hilarious. When the drill instructor sees the women freeloading, they pretend they are dancing. Then, they start to run away and he yells at them, "Come on, it's only 12 bucks". Classic.
Yes, I never get enough sleep so I'll take it when I can get it. Anyway, I'm doing a small town Wisconsin 5k. It is steeply downhill the first mile then steeply uphill the last mile. I am thinking about just doing it for fun (aka slow race), as to not destroy my shins on the downhill portions (which I have done before). After that it will be lots o' Wisconsin beer and perhaps a Wisconsin Korbel Old Fashioned or two!
Which race are you doing?

DeleteHahahaha, i instantly thought of bridesmaids too. Great minds.
DeleteI am the same way. I would do hill training in the midday sun if it meant an extra hour of sleep. Which race are YOU doing??
