Pics from my April Snow Run

Since I didn't get much opportunity to run in the snow this winter, Mother Nature presented me with a nice gift this morning - a little April snowfall:

I could not have been happier except if it had snowed on Sunday - then I could have done my long run in the snow! Anyway, it looks like I will get close to running 50 miles this week and then I'll taper a little over the next two weeks for my two races - Ravenswood 5k followed by the Indy Mini Half. I am hoping to start peaking fitness-wise for early June when I run the 13.1 Marathon (and perhaps one other race). Hoping to continue awhile with this injury-free running...

  1. Great mileage week and beautiful pics....even if I don't care for snow in April. At all.

  2. Beautiful photos! And wahoo for feeling good and getting in ALL THE MILEZ! Those photos make me want to break my "no running outside if it's freezing" to go explore the lakefront right now :)

    4. Wurst Weather Running Club? Hmmm....

I really don't mind cold, but snow? In APRIL?! I can't get behind that.

  4. Oh man! I wish it would have snowed on Sunday too so you could run more in it! It looks so beautiful next to the lake! Sigh. I am sad it's melting but I heard we might get more tonight. Woo hoo!!!! :)

  5. Woo! These are some of the most beautiful snow pictures I've seen! Why? Because there's less than an inch of snow! Glad to see you running & blogging again!

  6. Those pics are gorgeous! I moved to the 'burbs back in September, and I am definitely missing my lakefront path runs! Good luck in a few weeks in Indy! I am SO excited for that race:)
