Let's hope the headwind is during the 1st half and the tailwind is during the 2nd half. If that is the case, we can take it easy for the first half, then fly past everyone who started too fast into the wind. With my luck we will start with a headwind, then as we make the turn, the wind will change directions and we will have another headwind! I've had that happen on training runs, but never dual tailwinds! :)Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-34730345199516766652013-03-09T14:15:11.424-08:002013-03-09T14:15:11.424-08:00Great to hear! I hope you are able to race it next week!

You forgot crazy strong wind! :)

(ive done too many half marathons out on the lakefront where one half was awesome due to strong tail wind, and the other half absolutely awful due to the head wind. as you might imagine, im scarred from those races)lolXaarlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09103441780159368391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-59041644722621825452013-03-09T12:14:08.214-08:002013-03-09T12:14:08.214-08:00Yeah, I am trying to be careful with my miles but ...Yeah, I am trying to be careful with my miles but it doesn't always work out. At the end of the week I realized I'd run 40 miles (on top of cross-training), which is too much considering I'm on the mend. I may cut back next week and cut back on my long run tomorrow. I want to actually make it to the "Get Lucky" starting line mostly pain-free so I can at least try and "race" it, especially since I missed the F^3! Yes, fingers crossed on the weather, I'll take anything except hot or a torrential downpour!Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-55832402639237662302013-03-09T12:07:40.137-08:002013-03-09T12:07:40.137-08:00Yeah, I thought I'd fess up to my photoshoppin...Yeah, I thought I'd fess up to my photoshopping! Yup, gotta love the cool and crisp air. When you're done running you have that fantastic feeling like you just got done skiing in the mountains!Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-12181820376685498632013-03-08T11:54:56.520-08:002013-03-08T11:54:56.520-08:00Wasn't this morning perfect for a run? I'm discovering that I might be a winter runner too. The air is so cool and crisp, and I just feel better. Enjoy it while you can :)Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18403024177515079403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-47059023602670420182013-03-08T10:26:36.017-08:002013-03-08T10:26:36.017-08:00Yeah, I realize I am one of the few people that pr...Yeah, I realize I am one of the few people that prefer winter training over spring or fall training.
