I actually just read a post on the subject over at No Meat Athlete, about ways you can tell if you're not getting enough protein. Good on your for being so dialed in to your body. Have a blast this weekend!!!!Erinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09695890488184466585noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-35987060902565273442016-03-17T19:03:03.407-07:002016-03-17T19:03:03.407-07:00I hope the weather cooperates for the race this we...I hope the weather cooperates for the race this weekend! Good for you for reeling in the eating plan before you got sick. The bugs right now are brutal. Hooray for the 30-day mark. Carmel will be here before you know it. There will be plenty of time for over-indulging in the "bad" stuff after the race. Thanks for the tip. I will have to look into injinis!Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-73223514645950338152016-03-17T09:51:31.970-07:002016-03-17T09:51:31.970-07:00Thanks! Yes, the blister thing was scary for a few hours. I am such a head case the closer I get to marathon race day - although that's pretty normal, right? :)Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-17228924815489875302016-03-17T08:18:51.556-07:002016-03-17T08:18:51.556-07:00Good luck at your race!

Congrats on the 5 lbs but I think it's a good idea to make sure you are eating enough. Especially the good stuff you mentioned (meats, nuts, etc).

As far as the blisters, have you ever tried wearing injinji toe socks? I started getting blisters really bad and after wearing these socks, I NEVER ever get blisters on my long runs in them!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10155443976345011433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-3944446870533553642016-03-17T08:13:52.305-07:002016-03-17T08:13:52.305-07:00I hope you get a good race on Saturday! Weather is looking decent- a little windy but the temps are good for you.

It's so smart that you realized you weren't getting enough nutrients and have since started eating a bit more. Definitely don't want to undermine all of that awesome work you've done so far!

Really happy that blister wasn't a big deal. absolutely something you don't need to stress about on top of the marathon training!Xaarlinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12846036242883194347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-28684967703926827202016-03-17T07:52:15.317-07:002016-03-17T07:52:15.317-07:00Thanks. Realized it was too hard to restrict calories and run extra miles. Thanks, the blister is okay right now. I need to chillax when stuff happens near the marathon (I know, easier said than done!)Pete Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09655789227670205830noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804307342977220552.post-76334112671544243402016-03-17T07:03:00.299-07:002016-03-17T07:03:00.299-07:00I hope you get to "race" on Saturday! :)...I hope you get to "race" on Saturday! :) It's almost 10 miler season!
